This limited edition Royal Brackla is part of James Eadie's The Distilleries of Great Britain & Ireland series. The Single Malt from the Highland distillery spent 11 years in a refill butt, which gave it dark fruity aromas and a strong colour. From 1922 to 1929, the legendary former brewery and pub owner James Eadie and his team visited, scrutinised and photographed a total of 124 distilleries, all of which have now been documented in a book by James Eadie descendant Rupert Patrick. Based on photographs from this book, each whisky was carefully selected for its distillery character and flavour profile and bottled at cask strength after different years of maturation without chill-filtering and without the addition of colouring agents.
