Secret Garden Gin Pinot Noir

The Secret Garden Distillery is located on the outskirts of Edinburgh in Scotland at the foot of the Pentland Hills. The name is inspired by the picturesque garden in which the ingredients for the distillery's Gins are grown. The water for watering the garden and for distillation comes from the garden's deep well and plant residues are used as fertiliser. All packaging materials, right down to the shrink-wrap around the cork, which is compostable, can be 100% recycled. The bottles are also made from 70% recycled glass. The high-quality Gins are therefore produced with great attention to detail. For the Secret Garden Pinot Noir Gin, fine Pinor Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes are cultivated in the distillery's greenhouse. These grapes are harvested by hand in September and October when they have reached their highest sugar and acidity content and soaked for 1 year in the base gin made from juniper, coriander, angelica root and winter savoury. Before bottling, the Gin is filtered, with the colour and aroma coming from the grape juice. The delicate sweetness of the grapes complements the fresh juniper and the other botanicals. The result is a smooth, flavourful Gin that has been carefully filtered and bottled at 46% vol. under the distillery's motto "From seed to sip".
