Product description

Slyrs Bavarian Rye is the rye whisky from the distillery at Schliersee. In addition to rye, the mash also consists of wheat, barley and spring water from the mountains around Schliersee. American rye whiskey is usually stored in freshly burnt American white oak barrels and the Slyrs Bavarian Rye is also matured in heavily burnt barrels.

The Distillery: Slyrs

Located at the Schliersee lake, Slyrs Distillery ranks among the best-known whisky distilleries in Germany. Its name is derived from the old name of the region. The first Whisky was already distilled on the stills of the traditional Lantenhammer distillery in 1999, but in 2007 Slyrs Whisky found its home in the newly erected Slyrs Distillery in Neuhaus. read more

Aroma: Kräftige Frucht, deutliche Zimtnote mit einem Hauch von Vanille und geröstetem Eichenholz.

Geschmack: Voll, süßlich-würzig, deutliche Aromen von Süßholz, Zimt, Piment und Vanille.

Abgang: Lang, ausgewogen und komplex mit einer angenehmen Trockenheit.
