Slyrs Classic is the successor and further development of the well-known 3-year-old Single Malt from the distillery at Schliersee. The distillery has now gone one step further and dispensed with the need to specify the vintage. This means that 4 to 6-year-old malts can be blended together in the Classic. This makes the bottling older, even if it is not stated on the label. It has also been given a new bottle design.

The Slyrs Whisky Distillery on Lake Schliersee, named after the historical name of the region, is located in the middle of the picturesque Alpine landscape. The finest Bavarian Single Malt Whisky has been produced here since 1999, initially in the traditional Lantenhammer distillery and since 2007 in the modern Slyrs distillery in Neuhaus.     Kommentar: Als ich den vor Jahren kennenlernte, lästerte ich über den hohen Preis für einen NAS aus Bayern. Es war mein erster Kontakt mit deutschem Whisky (Nach Jugendsünden in den 1970ern - "Racke rauchzart" hieß die Cola-Zutat, glaube ich).

    Dieser SLYRS Classic hat das Zeug zum Klassiker. Ich mag ihn von Herzen.
