The Talisker Distillery is one of Scotland's best-known distilleries and is spectacularly located on the shores of Loch Harport on the Isle of Skye. Until 2017, it was the only distillery on the island and represents the rugged character of the coast with every drop. As part of the Classic Malts of Scotland, Talisker has achieved worldwide fame. Aroma: Aus dem Glas steigt der Talisker-üliche pfeffrige Geruch, begleitet von nicht zu viel Rauch. Im Hintergrund steigt etwas Süße auf, die man für fruchtig halten kann. Wie bei der Distiller's Edition ist es ein dunkelfruchtiger Charakter.

Geschmack: leicht süß (verschwindet schnell), pfeffrig, etwas malzig, rauchig

Abgang: mittellanger Eichenabgang, der aber schnell uninteressant wird. Etwas alkoholisch.

Kommentar: Bis auf den starken Antritt ist der Port Ruighe insgesamt etwas flach, nichtsdestotrotz rund und harmonisch. Mit ein paar Tropfen Wasser ist das Aroma offener und feiner, geschmacklich differenziert er mehr: Süße ist kaum mehr da, Malz kommt zum Vorschein und die Flachheit wird offensichtlicher. Viele stehen auf den charakteristischen Talisker-Geschmack; ich finde ihn o.k., aber wenig spannend. Alle paar Jahre kaufe ich hn trotzdem, um zu schauen, ob sich was gebessert hat ^^

Aroma: Rauchig mit leichtem Schinkengeschmack und etwas salzig Ham Salt

Geschmack: Herzhaft und voll, ein wenig scharf aber mit Klasse Blackberry

Abgang: Schokolade, mit einem Hauch von Lakritz, warm und lang Dark Chocolate

Kommentar: Ein toller Whisky, für den ich mir gern Zeit nehme
