Aroma Rich and balanced with cooled cinnamon buns, preserved oranges and sultanas with fresh oak. Subtle notes of mint in the background.
Taste Soft with classic sherry notes. Added to this are fruity notes of banana and berry jam with butter biscuits.
Finish Pleasantly long with notes of dried fruit.

Product description
The Tamdhu distillery matures its Single Malts entirely in sherry casks. The 12-year-old was relaunched in 2018. It replaces the previous 10-year standard bottling. The elegant glass bottle is meant to be reminiscent of the Victorian era.

Situated at Knockando in the center of the Speyside the Tamdhu Distillery managed to survive difficult years of economical ups and downs. This is due to the status of Tamdhu Whisky as a reliable component in the Blends of the Highland Distillers for years. It always was “The Can-Dhu-Spirit”. Since 2011 the distillery belongs to Ian Macleod Distillers who meanwhile started a revival of the brand and relaunched the Single Malt Tamdhu successfully. read more

    Abgang: Sherry

    Kommentar: in der Nase erinnert der Tamdhu an frischen Kirschstreuselkuchen mit leichten Karamellnoten sowie einen bunten Obstkorb mit Steinfrüchten. Die Spannung steigt. Im Geschmack kommen die Sherrynoten klar zum Vorschein während das Aroma aber leider zu schnell abflacht und die Geschmacksnoten leider nach und nach verwässern. Der Abgang ist leider eher kurz und sherrylastig.
