Product description
The Tamnavulin distillery was founded in 1966 in the rural village of Tomnavoulin in Speyside, Scotland. The name "Tamnavulin" means "mill on a small hill" and refers to the rural location of the distillery. After a period of closure, the distillery was taken over and reopened by Whyte & MacKay in 2007. Since then, it has been synonymous with accessible, fruity Single Malts with characterful cask finishes. Tamnavulin Sherry Cask is a special bottling from the distillery's Core Collection. The Single Malt first matured in American oak casks and then received a finish in three different sherry casks from renowned bodegas in southern Spain. The result is a whisky with intense flavours of sweet orange, soft spices and sticky toffee pudding, which emphasises the fruity sweetness and soft texture of Tamnavulin. Bottled at 40% vol. and golden to amber in colour, this edition comes with a Tamnavulin glass.
