The basis for the Finnish Soidin Single Malt, as well as the other Teerenpeli whiskies, is one of the purest water sources in the world. The groundwater, which is naturally filtered through the ancient Salpausselkä ridges, rises in a UNESCO geopark in the south of Finland. Matured in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks, moulded by Finland's extreme climate and bottled at a mild 40% vol, Teerenpeli Soidin is both authentic and smooth. The Teerenpeli distillery is located in the Finnish town of Lahti and was originally founded as a brewery and press house. Since 2002, whisky has also been distilled there, which is distilled twice in Pot Still stills according to the Scottish model. Soidin is a Finnish word for playful flirts, with which the distillery name is also associated.
