A total of 12 casks of Irishman were re-aged for 6 months in rum barrels from the island of St. Lucia. Only 7 countries have received bottles of the special single casks.

    Aroma: noticeably richer than the base version, but retaining the freshness of its predecessor. Tropical fruits with a slight dominant ripe banana, a drop of pine resin and carpentry, light shades of honey and oriental spices. Light raisins, medicinal herbs and dry autumn leaves appear in development.

    Taste: smooth and oily, more rounded, dense and rich compared to the base release. Fruit salad with rum dressing - ripe mango and juicy pear, white pepper and delicate oak, shades of caramel and molasses. Notes of fresh pastries and light minerality appear in the background. Closer to the aftertaste, medicinal herbs appear with delicate shades of mint and camphor.

    Finish: medium length, fruity-spicy, woody-mineral, with a light resinous flair.

    Comment: the rum finish added everything to the drink: complexity, depth, and value. In Europe, you can find it for up to €45. If you liked the basic version, you won't regret this purchase!
