The 12-year-old The Quiet Man is currently the brand's oldest bottling. Unlike the 8-year-old whiskey, it was distilled three times. The Irish whiskey was matured in selected former Kentucky Bourbon barrels before being bottled as a tribute to John Mulgrew, a famous bartender from Belfast who is the father of The Quiet Man creator Ciaran Mulgrew and who spent over 50 years on the Irish bar and pub scene.

Kommentar: Bin kein experte aber ein sehr angenhm Trinkbarer und doch recht fruchtiger Whisky, den man gerne einfach mal abends geniessen kann.

gut gereifter Ire mit viel Vanille, Karamel und Frucht - mild süffig, viel Frucht und etwas weisse Schokolade.
Insgesamt aber etwas kantenlos. Durchaus schmackhaft - erscheint mir aber etwas überschätzt und deutlich überpreist. Knappe vier Sterne - 22,5-21,5-20,5-21,5= 86

Geschmack: Anfangs eine brennende Note, dann diffus süßlich.
Abgang: Ein Hauch von Vanille.
Kommentar: Insgesamt eine Enttäuschung. Es gibt andere Whiskys mit wesentlich besserem PLV.
