Verkostet wurde bottle 1690407L511 231704 über einen Zeitraum von gut 6 Monaten. Nimmt eine schöne Entwicklung in der sich leerenden Flasche, Braucht viel Zeit im Glas und etwa 20 gtt Wasser auf 3 cl, um sich zu vollenden.

Aroma+ Geschmack sind gut ausbalanciert : Oak fruit: (reif) Grape Spices Ginger Cinnamon Malt Nuts Oil Sherry (wenig)Dried Fruit Fig Caramel Honey Herb Orange
cremig-öliges Mundgefühl, vielschichtig und komplex

Abgang: lang, schmackhaft, komplex

Kommentar: beeindruckend, lecker und für mich besser als der zeitnah verkostete Glengoyne 21yo. Aber mittlerweile auch 30-40€ zu teuer geworden. Weitere Details siehe Hampiy - einziger Unterschied: so leicht finde ich ihn nicht. Wenn Beethoven, dann 2. oder 4. Symphonie!

Kommentar: Ist nicht ganz mein Fall. Durchaus interessant aber die anfänglich säuerliche Note und das Gesamtbild lassen mich nach anderen Drams in dieser Preiskategorie Ausschau halten

Aroma: Ganz dominant ist hier von Beginn an eine Orange und auch eine abgeriebene Orangenschale; dazu durchaus auch ein paar Kräuter, und etwas Caramel, und nicht zuletzt auch ein Hauch von nicht ganz reifen Äpfeln.

Geschmack: Und dann im Mund eine traumhafte Kombination all jener Noten die sich in der Nase angekündigt haben; wieder die Orange, die Orangenschale, das Caramel, die Kräuter und die leichten Früchte; und das in einer so harmonisch verführerischen Vollendung, dass man davon nicht genug kriegen kann.

Abgang: Im Abgang dann eine Eichenwürze die lange anhält, und keine Spur von Bitterkeit.

Kommentar: Wunderbare Komposition; eine Beethoven-Symphonie unter den Whiskys; insgesamt ein ziemlich leichter Whisky für einen 21-Jährigen.
