Aroma Soft embers of a campfire on the beach with smoky, earthy oak notes and fine forest flavours that meet sweet layers of apple pie, maple syrup and a hint of clove. Cinnamon spice and oat biscuits in the background.
Taste Mild peat smoke embedded in vanilla custard, roasted almonds and sweet dried fruits, all carried by a smooth and oily texture.
Finish Subtle yet clear hints of toasted oak with surprising tannins. Persistent vanilla notes and red fruits combine with cinnamon and cloves. Delicate smoke and a spreading warmth on the finish.

Product description
The Torabhaig Taigh Single Malt is a characterful Scotch Whisky from the Isle of Skye, in which elegance and smoke harmonise perfectly. The distillery's maritime influences shine through in the flavour with soft peat smoke notes and fresh citrus fruits. The Taste is full-bodied and balanced, with hints of spicy herbs, vanilla sweetness and a maritime smoky note, while the finish is characterised by fine smoky facets and creamy, fruity sweetness. Bourbon casks, refill bourbon casks and carefully selected Madeira casks make this island malt a balanced flavour experience not only for lovers of Torabhaig whiskies, but also for connoisseurs of smoky whiskies. Torabhaig is the first new distillery on the Isle of Skye to produce Single Malts in 190 years. The independent bottler Mossburn Distillers rebuilt an old farmhouse for the distillery buildings.

Torabhaig is the second distillery on the Isle of Skye ever to be granted a distilling license. After long years of planning on the part of the independent bottler Mossburn Distillers, ground was broken for the new distillery in 2014. In 2017, the first spirit ran through the stills. read more
