Product description
Unicorn is a strongly smoky Blended Malt Scotch Whisky with a delicate sherry cask influence. It was taste-designed by Whisky.de in a creative process. The malts from Islay and Speyside were each matured for ten years in oak casks. From these partly smoky and partly sherry cask matured whiskies we created the Unicorn Whisky. In Celtic mythology, the Scottish national animal stands for purity and innocence as well as power and strength.

Kommentar: Ich bin ein Islay Fan und liebe rauchige Whiskys, trinke aber auch gerne gute Speys, Highs und Lows. Ich möchte hier nicht in Details gehen, weil der ganze Whisky etwas "unausgegoren" rüberkommt. Ehrlich gesagt hatte ich da von den Lünings Besseres erwartet. Ich hatte aus einem 0,05 Liter Fläschchen probiert, das ich für Punkte eingetauscht hatte. Schmeckt auf jeden Fall zwar rauchig aber auch sehr eindimensional, Sherry ist für mich nicht wahrnehmbar. In meinen Augen mindestens 20€ zu teuer.

Aroma: nach dem öffnen ist der Rauch da. Mit einer Nuance von
Ich hatte sofort einen frisch gereinigten Krankenhaus-Flur vor meinem geistigen Auge. Ich mag diese Geruch
Geschmack: der perfekte Ruhepol zum Aroma, der Rauch ist deutlich geringer, dadurch harmoniert der Abgang mit dem Aroma im Raum.
Andeutung von Meer mit etwas
Abgang: mittellang und harmonische mit dem Restaroma aus dem Glas.
Kommentar: probiert ihn mit dem Highland Cattle halb und halb
