The Westward distillery is located in the main barley growing region of Portland, Oregon. So it stands to reason that they also use local barley malt for the production of whiskey. Westward, one of the few US Single Malts, is produced according to strict criteria that are very similar to those for Scotch. This single cask was bottled exclusively for Whisky.de on 12.07.2021.

    Abgang: Blackberry

    Kommentar: Unglaublich frischer beeriger Geruch, auch der Geschmack erinnert mich sehr an reife Brombeeren mit dem ganz leichten bitteren Geschmack der Kerne der auch an Nüsse erinnern kann. Der Abgang ist relativ kurz.
    Überraschender Single Malt (hat nichts mit Schottland oder Irland zutun) - leider ist der Abgang sehr kurz. Irgendwie wirkt der Geschmack aber ein bisschen künstlich.
