The relatively small Glen Spey distillery was founded in Rothes in 1878 and is known for its light distillery character with floral and malty notes. The Glen Spey Banyuls Cask Finish was matured in a hogshead and then finished in a former Banyuls cask for over a year to give it richness and distinct fruit notes. The Single Malt is released by independent bottler Lady of the Glen where the whiskies are bottled by hand, at cask strength and without chill filtering or colour. The whiskies are a tribute to the long tradition of independent bottlers from Scotland and their special bottling methods.
