The Annandale distillery in the Scottish Lowlands stood idle for 90 years. Production was only resumed in 2014. This bottling is the second edition from the Storyman series and was created together with the Scottish actor James Ronald Gordon Copeland, who made film history worldwide under the name James Cosmo. Films such as Troy, The Colour of Magic and series such as Game of Thrones and Sons of Anarchy are among the best-known screen hits in which the actor shone in his roles. While shooting the epic Outlaw King, a film about the King of Scotland Robert the Bruce, James Cosmo became aware of the Annandale Distillery, which is deeply rooted in Scotland's history. This is how James Cosmo's passion for whisky came together with Annandale's expertise. Together they created a blended whisky that spreads a cosy warmth through the body with every sip. Although simple, it is decidedly creamy and fruity with nutty accents and sweet undertones in the finish.
This is what the actor himself says about the bottling:
"It's always been a dream of mine to create my own whisky. The kind of whisky that is delicate, complex and with a warmth that grows on you. During filming and production of the film Outlaw King, a film about the King of Scotland Robert the Bruce, I became aware of Annandale Distillery, steeped in history and located in the heart of Bruce's land. Upon visiting I was intrigued by their use of twin copper stills which add real depth and character to the whisky they produce, even from a young age."
