Blair Athol is an exclusive single malt bottling from the Scottish Highlands and part of the popular The Alba Trail series. With this series, the independent bottler and importer Alba Import presents carefully selected single-cask and small-batch bottlings that authentically reflect the individual character of a distillery and its cask maturation. The focus is on high-quality whiskies with a natural profile and independent character. This Blair Athol Scotch Whisky was distilled in 2013 and bottled at 46% vol. after 12 years of maturation. It was matured in an Oloroso sherry hogshead, which gives the whisky additional depth and complex fruity flavours. The traditional Blair Athol Distillery is known for its full-bodied house style with nutty flavours, which are also clearly evident in this bottling. The combination of the characteristic distillery style and the influence of the Oloroso sherry cask ensures a balanced and complex flavour. With its 12 years of maturation, the high-quality Oloroso sherry hogshead and the typical Highland character, the Blair Athol 12 Year Old The Alba Trail is a successful bottling for lovers of fruity, spicy Single Malts and another successful example of the quality of The Alba Trail series.
