The Kilchoman Fino Sherry Cask Matured received at least five years of maturation in 20 fino sherry casks, which were previously handpicked by the Bodega Jose y Miguel Martin. The maturation in these special casks gives the Single Malt Whisky sweet citrus notes paired with the typical maritime peat smoke facets of Kilchoman.

Aroma: Fruchtiger, trockener Sherry mit viel Torf/Rauch, Zitrone oder Grapefruit. Ingesamt fruchtig, wuchtig, jugendlich und torfig. Unbedingt Wasser dazu geben!

Geschmack: Würzig, torfig und rau: Viel Rauch mit zuckerglasierten Früchten, mit Zitronen und weichem Karamell.

Abgang: Mittel. Viel Zitrone und Bittermandel mit Rauch.

Kommentar: Ein bestimmt toller Kilchoman, der leider nicht ganz meinem Geschmack entspricht! Ein tolles Fass (Fino), aber am Alter (nur 5 Jahre) hackts dann leider! Obwohl mir Abfüllungen von dieser Brennerei zusagen. Diese hier wohl am Wenigsten! Preis/Leistung nicht so gut!
