Kilchoman Machir Bay is the flagship of the independent distillery and is released at natural cask strength with this third limited edition bottling. The Single Malt has a classic maritime and smoky character that is on a par with the well-known Islay greats. The Single Malt was largely created from 6-year-old malts. In addition to ex-bourbon casks, a small quantity of Oloroso sherry casks was used. The standard bottling is 46% vol., while this Cask Strength Edition is bottled at 58.1% vol. It presents strong smoky notes, with the typical Kilchoman citrus flavours and strong Islay smoke, without being overpowering. Ideal for all fans of smoky Islay whiskies and also for curious connoisseurs' palates.

La distillerie: Kilchoman
After more than 125 years, the Kilchoman farm distillery is the first new distillery to be built on the island of Islay. At the distillery, which was founded in 2005 and produces a 100 per cent Islay Single Malt, all production steps are carried out on site, from the cultivation of the barley to the filling of the bottles.

Geschmack: Reichhaltige Schokolade, frische Zitrusfrüchte und ein Hauch von geräuchertem Fleisch mit anhaltender Karamellsüße.
Abgang: Langanhaltend und sich entwickelnd mit Wellen von integriertem Torfrauch. Ein Hauch von Gewürzen und verkohlten kandierten Früchten folgt nach.
