The Glasgow Distillery has revitalised whisky production in Scotland's largest city, bringing modern craftsmanship with an urban character to the Lowlands. The distillery is known for experimental cask maturation and lightly peated, approachable whiskies and has quickly made a name for itself for expressive Single Malt Whiskies. This whisky is part of the Awakening Series, a range of single cask bottlings with distinctive cask finishes and individual character. Matured for seven years in a Pedro Ximénez sherry cask, it combines subtle peat smoke notes with the sweet intensity and dark fruit of the cask. Bottled at cask strength and without chill filtration, this limited bottling demonstrates the combination of modern experimentation and traditional Scottish distilling skills.
