This Fettercairn is the fourth bottling of the 16-year-old. Apart from the age and the alcohol content, the 4th release has nothing in common with its predecessors. This Highland Single Malt was matured in different types of casks. Among them are former bourbon casks and first fill port casks. The bottle design is - as usual at Fettercairn - with a ring at the bottle neck and grooves in the bottle shoulder, which reflect the unusual nature of the distilling equipment with external cooling. The distillery's distinctive unicorn logo shines on the bottle and label.

Kommentar: Kräftige Würze, Kaffee, Eiche. Zarte Fruchtnoten mit leichter Süße. Wieder ein komplett anderer 16 yo als die Ausgaben davor.
Mein Favorit ist dieser bis jetzt nicht aber doch wieder sehr interessant.

Kommentar: Nachdem ich sowohl den 2nd als auch den 3rd Release nicht so knülle fand, ist dieser wieder solide und sein Geld wert. Kommt leider nicht ganz an den überragenden 1st Release heran.
