The Girvan First Fill Rioja Cask Finish - Stillman's Gold is an exclusive single cask bottling from the independent bottler The Caskhound, which was released as part of the "Stillman's Gold" series. This series was created to focus on the master craftsmanship of the master distillers ("Stillmen") and to deliberately present single cask bottlings of strong character without colouring and without chill-filtration at cask strength. The Caskhound stands for careful cask selection, transparent labelling and a clearly defined concept of independent bottling. This cask comes from the Grain Girvan, was finished for 1325 days in a first fill Rioja cask and thus shows an unusual cask combination in a GrainThe Rioja provides softness and wine flavours in combination with typical grain notes. As a single cask bottling, this edition was bottled in a strictly limited edition so that each bottle bears the unmistakable character of this individual cask. The flavour profile shows an elegant combination of vinous fruit and cereal malt.
