The Isle of Harris Single Malt embodies the character of the Scottish island of Harris – approachable in its flavours yet complex, created for connoisseurs who appreciate a well-balanced and flavourful whisky. Every drop is produced, matured and blended on the island by a team of young, locally trained master distillers and whisky blenders. Distillation takes place at the Harris Distillery in the small village of Tarbert. The Single Malt is then matured in selected ex-Bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, which are stored exclusively in the local warehouses at Ardhasaig near the Atlantic coast. The maritime island climate, with high humidity and minimal temperature fluctuations, creates ideal conditions for maturation. Produced using local spring water from the Isle of Harris and Scottish barley, the whisky displays a harmonious blend of sweet caramel notes, fruity nuances and warming spicy aromas, complemented by its characteristic maritime island character. With 12–15 PPM, this Single Malt also has a slightly smoky character with a gentle peaty finish.
