This Bombay Sapphire Gin is called Premier Cru, a wine-growing term meaning 'first growth'. In the Murcian Lemon bottling, it is above all the Fino lemons from Murcia in southern Spain, navel oranges and mandarins that stand out aromatically. The citrus fruits are peeled by hand and dried under the Mediterranean sun before they are processed further for the Gin. In addition, the classic gin botanicals juniper, coriander, cassia bark, angelica and orris root, as well as spicy grains of paradise, cubeb pepper and almonds are included - a proven gin recipe that dates back to 1761.

Bombay Spirits bought the Laverstoke Mill in in 2010. Before the renowned Bombay Sapphire Gin was produced on site, banknotes for the British Empire were manufactured from 1724 to 1963 in the former paper mill.

Kommentar: toller London Dry Gin mit richtig viel Citrus in allen Facetten. Auf Tonic Water ein herrlich erfrischend-bitterer Sommerdrink. Selbst pur getrunken merkt man die 47% überraschenderweise kaum.
