The silky smooth Bushmills Madeira Finish was made from non-smoking malt. It matured for 19 years in Oloroso sherry and bourbon casks. The post-maturation for two years in old Madeira casks leads to a complex aroma with grapes, honey, dark chocolate and rare spices.

Frisch entkorkt mit Freunden: 8221 aus 2019 - L9085 IB003.
Brauchte viel Zeit zum Atmen und vertrug gut ein paar Tropfen Wasser.
Dann für alle einmal mehr (meine dritte Flasche) ein tiefgründiger, abwechslungsreicher Hochgenuss mit deutlichen Spuren aller drei Fassarten.
Wirkte für mich im Erinerungsvergleich komplexer und interessanter als die Abfüllung aus 2020, wozu auch heute spürbare Eichenfass- und Würzaromen beitrugen. Details ansonsten wie zuvor, siehe auch Tomm und WHL

Aroma:
Eiche, leicht Würzig, dunkle Früchte, Pflaumen, Rosinen, Möbelpolitur, im Hintergrund leicht süß, schöne Sherry Reifung, später Schokolade, etwas Vanille und Karamell, leicht Nüsse, und im Hintergrund leicht Malz. Sehr komplexe Nase, nach einer Weile kommt ein wunderbarer Fruchtkorb zum Vorschein.
Geschmack:
schöner fruchtig süßer Antritt, sehr weich und rund, Vanille, Schokolade, Pflaumen, Rosinen, würzig werdend und die Eiche kommt wieder zum Vorschein und rückt in den Vordergrund. Auch hier jetzt wieder leichte Noten der Möbelpolitur und er wird leicht bitter am Ende wenn man ihn ganz lange im Mund lässt
Abgang:
wunderbarer würziger süß fruchtiger Abgang mit tollen Eiche Aromen. Dann kommen die süßen Aromen mit Vanille und Schokolade durch sowie Nüsse und am Ende bleibt ein Geschmack von süßem altem Holz im Mundraum zurück

ein wirklich toller komplexer Malt dem man das Alter anmerkt. Er bietet eine tolle Aromenvielfalt von der Nase bis zum Abgang. Gefällt mir sehr gut.
