Slyrs Fifty One is a composition of several barrels. In addition to the classic white oak casks, various wine finishes were also used. Before bottling, the malt was diluted to 51% vol. The alcohol strength also gave the Single Malt its name.

The Slyrs Whisky Distillery on Lake Schliersee, named after the historical name of the region, is located in the middle of the picturesque Alpine landscape. The finest Bavarian Single Malt Whisky has been produced here since 1999, initially in the traditional Lantenhammer distillery and since 2007 in the modern Slyrs distillery in Neuhaus.     Kommentar: Ich habe Spass am Verdünnen in kleinen Schritten. Beim Fifty One liegt bei mir der Wohlfühlpunkt bei Forty Four.

    Kommentar: Mittellanger Abgang, insgesamt OK. Es gibt intensivere Whiskies mit ca. 50% zu einem ähnlichen oder niedrigeren Preis z.B. von Arran oder Glendronach.
