Aroma Sherry with oak accompanied by dried fruits such as figs or dates and a subtle nuttiness. A light hint of dark chocolate and fine spices round off the bouquet.
Proef Velvety and full with sweet elements such as caramel and honey combined with dried fruit and nutty accents. Noticeable barrel profile with wood flavours and gentle spice.
Uitgang Long and harmonious, carried by nuances of dried fruit and nuts, combined with a clear but well-integrated oak flavour. A pleasant dryness remains in the finish.

The Teithmill Second Fill Oloroso Sherry Hogshead #460 - Tilo's Proof No. 6 is a limited edition single cask bottling released as part of the Tilo's Proof series by independent bottler Caskhound. This series was created to present whiskies that impress with their authentic character, cask quality and artisanal maturation. The whiskies in the series are a tribute to honest, unadulterated whisky artistry. Caskhound, known for its carefully curated single cask bottlings, places particular emphasis on transparency and individuality with each bottling, giving each edition its own unique expression. The Teithmill matured entirely in a second fill Oloroso sherry hogshead, which gives it a good balance between cask and distillery character. The second fill allowed the wood to release its subtle sweetness and typical sherry notes without overpowering the whisky. The result is a harmonious malt with gentle hints of dried fruit, nuts and a fine spiciness, which are carried by the cask maturation. As a single cask bottling, this whisky was not chill-filtered and was released without colouring in a strictly limited quantity. Each bottle represents the unmistakable character of the individual cask, making the Teithmill whisky an authentic representative of the philosophy behind Tilo's Proof: honest whiskies, hand-picked and with personality. Teithmill is an alias for the Deanston Distillery and comes from the River Teith, which provided the water power for the original mill.
