Description du produit
Glenrothes Discovery matured for eleven years in sherry casks. In 2018, Gordon & MacPhail relaunched its entire range with the addition of the 'Discovery Series'. All their bottlings differ in Taste and due to their production. Thus, there are the three flavour profiles bourbon cask, sherry cask and smoky (smoky). The different characters differ in their colour design: green = bourbon cask; purple = sherry cask; white/grey = smoky.

The Glenrothes Distillery is located in Rothes in the heart of the Speyside. It looks back on a very turbulent history. The day the first spirit was distilled at Glenrothes was 28 December 1879 and this might have been seen a bit as a bad omen: It was the day the Tay Bridge at Dundee collapsed. Several times The Glenrothes was hit by fire and it burnt down at last, but as a phoenix it rose again and today it’s back on the stage and playing a big role in the Whisky game. en savoir plus

Kommentar: Dieser Whisky ist durch seine Komplexität vergleichbar mit älteren Abfüllungen (15-16 Jahre). Ist an Geschmack und Aroma eine wahre Explosion. Tolle Sherryfass Zusammenstellung, die unter den Standards mit ca. 12 Jahren mein Favorit ist.
