Talisker Storm is as stormy and unpredictable as the climate on the Isle of Skye. On the island, the Talisker distillery is geographically on the same latitude as Alaska. By using oak casks of different ages, it was possible to preserve the character so typical of Talisker.

Aroma: Maritime Notes Peat Smoke Zitrus Maritim und dezent rauchig. Eine leichte alkoholische Schärfe, Zitrusfrüchte und ein Hauch von Blumenwiese, mehr finde ich aber auch erstmal nicht.

Geschmack: Sweet Fruit Spices Klebrig süß und nun auch sehr hell-fruchtig. Ein paar würzige Anklänge kommen durch, eine leichte Pfeffrigkeit.

Abgang: Sweet Spices Peat Smoke Herb Oak Im Abgang recht kraftvoll, auch wieder sehr süß. Als Gegenpol dazu prickelnde Gewürze. Trocken-herbe Eiche am Ende.

Kommentar: nicht ganz das, was ich mir erwartet hatte. Für mich ist dieser jugendliche Sturm eher ein laues Lüftchen. Zwar nicht völlig uninteressant, aber halt auch nicht überragend. Punktabzug gibt`s wie immer für so unschöne Sachen wie Farbstoff.
