Was ist in schottischen Pubs ein üblicher Dram? 2 cl? 4 cl? Irgendwas dazwischen?
@Angels’share

@Angels’share

@Marko_I
Danke für die Links.
Das ist mal eine klare Ansage:
Danny Rogan, bar manager of the Royal Hotel in Cromarty on the Black Isle, said: "When locals come in and ask for a whisky, they will ask for a dram and always have done. They will get a 25ml measure and if they ask for a large dram they will get two measures of 25ml."

https://www.reddit.com/r/Scotch/comments/2o5vcs/pour_size/
"Bar manager here. 2oz is our "correct" pour. Sometimes I'm a bit nice for our scotch lovers and make it 2.5.
Edit: I'll go ahead and elaborate. Our standard "shot" or "mixed" pour is 1.5oz. This size can vary from bar to bar - usually between 1 and 1.5oz, though you'll find cheap bars that do .75oz instead. A "rocks" or "neat" pour is slightly more expensive and increases the size by .5oz to 2oz. Then you have your "double" or "martini" pour, which is simply 3oz, but often costs 90% or so of what ordering two mixed pours would cost."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shot_glass
" Shots sold on-premises must contain either 25 ml or 35 ml measures of whisky, gin, rum, or vodka as defined in the Weights and Measures Act of 1985. This requirement does not extend to other spirits. A 2001 amendment allowed a double shot of 70 ml to be served. Generally, a single measure is equal to 35 ml in Northern Ireland and Scotland and 25 ml in England and Wales. "

https://gentlemansportion.com/2012/12/01/dont-kick-the-scotch-bucket/
"In the UK, famous for tiny measures, a single has been legally defined since 1963 as 1/6 gill (23.7 ml) and a double as 1/4 gill (35.5 ml), although this has now been replaced by 25 ml and 35 ml for single measures with landlords being able to decide which quantities they dispense.
Naturally in Ireland the measures are more generous: 35.5 ml for a single glass and 71 ml double glass.
In the US there is a wide variance across the states on the size of a shot, also called a pony, which is generally agreed to be 1 oz (29.5 ml by way of comparison). However, most bars pour a jigger of 1 1/2 oz (44.5 ml).
In Canada, most provinces follow Ontario’s lead where a shot generally refers to a measure of 1 1/2 oz, though many establishments serve a smaller size so-called “standard drink” of only 1 oz."
