Lowlands whiskies are known for their soft character and floral notes such as heather. The Auchentoshan distillery is also one of the few distilleries that triple distils. The distillery often works with sherry cask maturation to give the whisky sweeter and fruitier notes.

    Kommentar: Ich hatte den Threewood lange mit oben auf meiner Liste. Den 12 Jahre kann man auch gut trinken. Lediglich der American Oak bleibt etwas zurück. Das regelt sich dann über den Preis, wenn das Set deutlich günstiger als die Einzelpreise ist, gerne.
