Bladnoch The Dragon Series Iteration IV - The Ageing

The Bladnoch The Dragon Series is inspired by the dragon curve, a fractional curve in mathematics that emerges from a simple origin. The Dragon Series is a tribute to the timeless power struggle between science and nature. The series represents the diversity in whisky production and the balance between order and chaos. Iteration IV - The Ageing looks at the maturation process of the distillate. Casks filled with new-make mature for years in different temperatures. This creates interactions with the environment in which the casks rest, giving the whisky an unpredictable structure. The seasonal change in temperature and humidity, storage type and location, in combination with the so-called Angels-Share, results in a complex Single Malt. The casks used for the maturation of Interation IV are kept in the darkest and coldest places in the distillery's warehouse.
