The Bourbon Rebel Yell was created in 1849 at the Stitzel-Weller distillery and marketed under the slogan 'An honest whiskey at an honest price'. The Bourbon has been registered as an official brand since 1936.
This bottling receives a special finish in cognac barrels, which accounts for its particularly sweet character.

Aroma: Dominante Süße (Weintrauben, rote Äpfel, Beerenfrüchte) mit Vanille und Karamell (was auch sonst?!).

Geschmack: Wie erwartet süß, fruchtig und weinartig: Leichte Weintannine vermischen sich mit Sirup, Vanille und Karamell.

Abgang: Mittel. Tolle Restsüße mit Wein, Konfekt, Traubenzucker, Zuckerstangen und Bonbons.

Kommentar: Solider Rebel Yell, leider nicht so gut wie der mit Portweinnachreifung! Preis/Leistung ist bei der Lux Row Brennerei so gut wie immer gegeben. Für Einsteiger wie Fortgeschrittene Bourbon-Genießer empfelehnswert.
