GlenWyvis First Fill Oloroso 5 Years 2018/2024

This GlenWyvis single malt was created for the first time as a single cask bottling exclusively for the German market. Matured for 5 years in a first-fill Oloroso sherry butt, the limited-edition whisky was neither coloured nor chill-filtered and bottled at an intense 61.5% vol. at cask strength. The whisky distillery from the Scottish Highlands is jointly owned thanks to the record-breaking crowdfunding project. A total of 3,600 supporters revitalised the distilling tradition of the GlenWyvis Distillery in the town of Dingwall near Inverness in 2016. GlenWyvis relies on renewable energy for its production. It is completely independent of the electricity grid, uses local barley and long fermentation in traditional copper stills before the malty, fruity raw spirit is matured in selected barrels.
