Product description
Torabhaig is the first new distillery on the Isle of Skye to produce a single malt in 190 years. The independent bottler Mossburn Distillers rebuilt an old farmhouse for the distillery buildings. In order to retain the classic charm and history of the location, stones from the nearby Camus Castle ruins were used. The Legacy Series bottling consists of just 100 casks from Torabhaig's first year of production.

Torabhaig is the second distillery on the Isle of Skye ever to be granted a distilling license. After long years of planning on the part of the independent bottler Mossburn Distillers, ground was broken for the new distillery in 2014. In 2017, the first spirit ran through the stills.

Kommentar: Für einen so jungen Whisky nicht schlecht, wenngleich man das niedrige Alter schon merkt. 3,5* , welche aufgrund des ambitionierten Preises leider abzurunden sind.

Aroma: Lieblicher Rauch mit leicht medizinischen Noten. Im Hintergrund eine fruchtige Süße und Malz Komplex.
Geschmack: Sehr rauchig mit einer leichten Würzigkeit, gefolgt von frischen Birnen und Äpfeln.
Abgang: Lang anhaltend und rauchig.
