    Ähnlichkeiten mit anderen Voten sind rein zufällig.
    Alterbedingt mag ich wohl diese "altmodischen" malts. :wink:

    Die Grundrechte des Menschen sind elementar und gelten nicht nur bei schönem Wetter, sondern vor allem auch dann, wenn ihre Umsetzung weh tut. non chilled filtered - natural colour ............meistens ;-)

    Ich definiere Bang for the buck mal in erster Linie mit Charakter. Und da geht kein Weg am Talisker 10yo vorbei. Übertroffen kann er da nur vom Lagagulin 16yo werden, der zusätzlich mehr Komplexität mitbringt. Da er dafür jedoch auch um einiges teurer ist, sind sie für mich letzlich gleich in der Wertung.

    Doch wenn man bedenkt, dass mein dritter Malt schon für um die 20 Euro zu bekommen ist, dann sprengt der Connemara den Buck in die Luft. Er ist jung, er ist speziell, doch er bietet für so wenig Geld einen so unverwechselbar leckeren Charakter, dass er dem Tali und dem Laga im Grunde kaum nachsteht. Und wenn man ihn als CS probiert, schließt er die Lücke komplett. Ist aber leider rar und teurer geworden.

    Für mich ist die Top 3 ganz klar unter den 3 absoluten Klassikers, Talisker, Laphroaig und Lagavulin aufgeteilt. Meiner Meinung nach die besten Whiskys die es für kleines Geld gibt. Auf Platz 1 ist dabei der Lagavulin. Der hat einfach alles was ein guter Whisky braucht. Ein gewisses Alter, schöne harmonie zwischen Holz und Whisky, Rauch+Sherry. Perfekt.

    Ich mag besonders den eher klassischen Stil, deshalb Benromach und Springbank. Da scheckt man auch den Brennereicharakter noch sehr deutlich. Kein Mode-Schnickschnack. Zum Uigedail braucht man ja nix sagen. War und ist eine der Referenzen für rauchige Islay's. Das Ardbeg Marketing finde ich reichlich übertrieben, allerdings gibt's kaum eine andere Brennerei deren Standards durchgängig so hohe Qualität liefern. Das alles zu vernünftigen Preisen (bei den Standards).
