This is the second whisky from the Kavalan Concertmaster series. It is first matured in the distillery's own refilled whisky casks and is then finished in Oloroso sherry casks from Spain.

Aroma: Dunkle Früchte, nicht muffig, Alkohol gut eingebunden. Nicht sonderlich komplex, aber rund.
Geschmack: Unterkomplex und zu wässrig, definitiv zu wenig Alkohol. Schöner Gesamteindruck aber nicht wirklich spannend.
Abgang: Mittellang und trockener werdend.
Kommentar: Der Kavalan Classic war eine positive Überraschung und da auch deutlich günstiger für mich die bessere wahl. Der Sherry kann leider nicht mkithalten. Die Nase ist angenehm fruchtig aber im Mund ist er leider eine Enttäuschung. Gebt ihm mindestens 43% und ein paar mehr Jahre, dann wird er richtig gut. PLV auch nicht wirklich überzeugend, daher nur 3,5 Sterne.
