Bushmills Black Bush is characterised by its volume and dark sherry casks. If you imagine a triple-distilled whiskey to be big and dark, this is as close as you can get. The 75% malt whiskey content in this blend speaks for itself and is perfectly complemented by the 25% Grain content and maturation in Oloroso sherry casks and Bourbon barrels.

    Aroma: Eine Explosion von Malz strömt in die Nase, gefolgt von süßen Noten roter Früchte, Beeren und Honig.

    Geschmack: Zuerst die malzige Süße, für die man Irish Whiskeys liebt, gefolgt von fruchtigem Honig und einer fruchtigen Sherry-Noten von roten Beerenfrüchten und Nuss.

    Abgang: Lang, süß, malzig, herrlich. Es bleiben nussig-fruchtige Noten von Osborne Medium Dry Sherry.

    Kommentar: Einer meiner Lieblingswhiskeys von Bushmills, der aufgrund seiner Milde und Sherrystärke ein typischer Daily-Dram ist. Spannenderweise fehlt hier der für Bushmills typische Butterkeks-Charakter, der dafür durch nussige Noten ersetzt wird. Vorsicht: Suchtgefahr!

    Ein guter Standard seit vielen Jahren. Unschlagbares PLV. Wenn am Lagerfeuer getrunken wird und Nosing Gläser ganz weit weg sind. Im Sommer on the rocks oder mit viel kaltem Wasser. Im Winter im Irish Coffee. Passt immer! Guter Reisebegleiter in Länder mit Montezumas Rache.
