Kommentar: Lagavulin House Lannister 9 Jahre wirkt wie ein junger, aber schon ziemlich charakterstarker Islay. Der Rauch ist deutlich da, eher trocken und aschig, dazu dieses typische maritime Gefühl – ein bisschen wie Lagerfeuer am Meer. Trotz des Alters bringt er eine überraschende Süße mit: Vanille, Karamell und etwas reife Frucht fangen den Rauch gut ab. Insgesamt kein ganz so tiefgründiger Whisky wie der klassische 16er, aber eine sehr stimmige, kräftige Abfüllung, die gerade als „Fan-Edition“ positiv überrascht.
