Aroma Notes of oak furniture, cider apples and banana meet fudge, tangerine and orange. Accents of liquorice and brown sugar follow.
Taste Creamy and waxy, heather combines with notes of roses. Salted caramel, chilli chocolate, smoky barley and nectarines join in.
Finish Long lasting with sweeter smoke along with subtle hints of cedar.

Product description
As a rule, Talisker tends to be bottled young - not so this 25-year-old. It was bottled at the classic strength of 45.8% vol. At Talisker, the motto Made by the Sea not only stands for the influence that the maritime climate of the Isle of Skye has on cask ageing, but also for sustainability. The distillery has made it its mission to protect and restore the underwater world. In 2020, it began working with the environmental organisation Parley of the Oceans to achieve the ambitious goal of protecting and restoring 100 million square metres of natural marine space. The Single Malt Whisky spent most of its maturation in Bourbon hogsheads and smaller parts in refill casks from Europe.

The Talisker Distillery is one of Scotland's best-known distilleries and is spectacularly located on the shores of Loch Harport on the Isle of Skye. Until 2017, it was the only distillery on the island and represents the rugged character of the coast with every drop. As part of the Classic Malts of Scotland, Talisker has achieved worldwide fame. Eine wunderschöne Torfnote, leicht nur der Rauch,
reif und edel.
Erst im Mund etwas intensiver, rauchiger.
Aber der ist wunderbar ausbalanciert, keine Ecken und Kanten.

Aroma: Noten von Eichenmöbeln, Mostäpfeln und Banane treffen auf Fudge, Mandarine und Orange. Akzente von Lakritze und braunem Zucker folgen nach.

Geschmack: Cremig und wachsartig, Heidekraut verbindet sich mit Noten von Rosen. Gesalzenes Karamell, Chili-Schokolade, rauchige Gerste und Nektarinen kommen hinzu.

Abgang: Langanhaltend mit süßer werdendem Rauch, zusammen mit feinen Anklängen von Zedernholz.

Aroma: Zeit braucht er schon zum Genießen – Zeit für die Reifung hatte er schließlich auch. Eine salzige Meeresbrise (salzige kandierte Früchte) und ein zart süßlicher Rauch umspielen die Rezeptoren in der Nase. Orangenschalen, Heidekraut und Fudge. Eine süßliche, leicht holzige Empfindung (mit Tabaknoten) lassen die lange Zeit im Eichenfass erahnen. (23)
Geschmack: Wunderbar öliger Körper und der typisch pfeffrige Auftakt machen Lust auf einen unmittelbar folgenden zweiten Sip. Schon bald folgt ein süßer Fruchtmix mit ebenfalls süßlich geprägten Gewürzen. Leicht salziges Karamell, mit der Zeit jedoch etwas bitterer werdend. Frisch geschnittenes Gras. Dezente Holzigkeit. Abgang: Kürzer als erwartet, aber sehr glatt und angenehm. Eingelegte Kirschen mit Karamell und dann ist da auch wieder die Lagerfeuerasche, sowie Tabak und Leder. Hätte gerne noch etwas Chili und Pfeffer im Ausklang verspürt. (21)
Kommentar: Eine solide Abfüllung, die es im Abgang etwas schwer hat den Alterserwartungen gerecht zu werden. Insgesamt jedoch hervorragend arrangiert. Ausgewogener Genuss – gediegen und elegant im Glas. In seiner gesamten Struktur wird dieser Talisker von dem Vierteljahrhundert harmonisch geprägt. Der Preis läuft leider aus dem Ruder und es empfiehlt sich ihn beim Genuss mental auszuklinken. (23)
