Bowmore - 1982
Nose: Coppery, cake batter (Demerara sugar, butter, a little flour, dried peels).
Palate: Lots of oak integration with creamy vanilla and creaking spices. All kinds of wood though, with pine resin lurking in the background, and a development of cinnamon. Only very, very slightly coastal.
Finish: Fades on spices, retains a mineralic character, and a dry woody note.
